Robert “Bob” H. Mohrbach, 90 of Temperance, MI, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg Twp., OH. Born August 25, 1924, in Erie, MI, he was the son of Albert and Stella (Hoelderle) Mohrbach. A 1940 graduate of Woodward High School, he then served his country in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He married Dorothy Nicholson on May 29, 1948. She preceded him in death on Jan. 27, 1997. Bob was co-owner of the former Point Place 76, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance, MI. Bob had an inquisitive mind, always asking questions. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors.
Bob is survived by his loving children, Cathy (Michael) Spohn, Cindy (David) Tidrick and Randy (Cindy) Mohrbach. Grandchildren, Jennifer (James) Daniel, Karen (Carlos Rodriguez) Spohn, David Tidrick, Korey Tidrick, Keri Mohrbach, Kyle (Carrie) Mohrbach, Kylee and William Onweller, Ashleigh Schuller and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Visitation will be from 2-8 pm, Friday, January 23, 2015, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where a scripture service will be held Friday at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 8330 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI, where he will lie in state after 10:00 am. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
